In 2020, the home became way more than just a place to rest after work and on the weekends. Homes today are 24-hour multi-purpose living hubs used for working, learning, socializing, rejuvenating and the list goes on.

Most of us never expected or even conceptualized having to spend so much of our lives indoors, and not many homes are equipped for around-the-clock inhabitance. However, with a few minor adjustments, you can turn your home into your very own four-wall oasis.

Here’s how!

1. Clean Up.

If it’s difficult to function at home on a normal evening or weekend with clutter, then it’s two times as difficult to spend the majority of your day in a cluttered home. Invest in some easy to use, but effective cleaning products and tools like a robo vacuum and multi-purpose sprays to make your time cleaning impactful, but easy.

2. Do What You’ve Always Wanted.

Have you been dreaming of carving out a space for your very own home office, adding a new splash of color to your kitchen or spicing up your living room? Now is THE TIME! Take some time to finally get that small home improvement project out of the way to enjoy your space just a little bit more.

3. Work Smarter, Not Harder.

COVID has shown more than any other event in history that we are truly in the digital error. Technology is here to stay and will become even more ingrained into our everyday lifestyles. Make multi-tasking at your everyday abode simple with easy-to-use and entertaining smart devices.

4. Add Ambience.

Take all the smells, sights, sounds and even tastes from your favorite places are bring them to your home (maybe not all at once, unless that’s your thing – lol)! Try to recreate that authentic Penne pasta from your trip to Italy, bring the scent from your trip to a tropical shoreline to your bedroom or listen to songs you saw performed live last year at that music festival. Get creative and have fun doing it!

5. Stay Connected.

What’s life without God, family and friends? Keep in touch with those your love to maintain good emotional health and continued joy. Fill your home with voices of comfort and care, not only for your sake, but also for there’s. This is our shared struggle and we can help each other through it. The smallest gesture like a text or a quick phone call can turn someone’s whole day around.
